My name is Lilian, and I am the owner and founder of Leaux & Bloom Patisserie. I am originally from Taipei, Taiwan. After graduating from a prestigious law school in Taiwan, I worked in a law office for a few years, but always felt that true passion for my career was missing. I wanted to find something to expand my creativity instead of just an office job. Then one day, I fell in love with French patisserie. I love the beautiful craftsmanship, the delicious taste, and the joy it brings people when they take a bite. So, I decided put up my head wig and pursue this amazing adventure in my life.
I first worked at Le Ruban Patisserie in Taipei in 2012, then in 2013 I moved to the U.S with my husband. I studied at New York International Culinary Center (ICC), and graduated with a degree in Baking & Pastry Arts. After graduating, I started Leaux & Bloom Patisserie in 2016. Leaux is a play on my family name “Lo” in French, and Bloom came from the concept of my first Korean style flower design cake.
I wanted to offer a place where locals could custom order artisan cakes and my specialty French pastries fresh made from my kitchen. As my business has grown, I have decided to take it to the next level by putting my bakery online, in hopes of sharing my passion for pastries to a larger audience. I’ve always been inspired by Oriental flavors and the traditional French pastry. All of my pastries are made from scratch with the finest organic ingredients. My goal is to present the authentic flavor of the traditional French pastry with an influence of modern design. I am so excited to now offer this unique experience of French pastry to the Bay area.
